Anna Hein is a versatile and creative dancer from Austria, winner of noumerous awards and scholarships. She has worked with renowed choreographers like Jochen Ulrich, Frédéric Flamand, Jean Renshaw, Nils Christe. She studied classical and contemporary dance at the National Opera of Vienna, at "danceWEB", in Venice (Biennale scholarship) and New York (Trisha Brown Dance Company). As a member of Tanztheater Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck she danced a.o. the title roles in Jochen Ulrich's "Diaghilev" and "Romeo and Juliet". In 1999 Anna won the "Landestheater Award for outstanding performances" and was selected "Talent of the Year" by the "Ballet International" dance magazine. In 2002 Anna won the Carinthian Award of Performing Arts. She also worked with tanztheater homunculus Vienna, at Stadttheater Fürth, Staatstheater Darmstadt, Teatro Fondamenta Nove Venice, Stadttheater Klagenfurt, Odeon Vienna, Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg, Festspielhaus St.Pölten, Bregenz Festival. In 2004 Anna joined Frédéric Flamand's Compagnie Charleroi Danses in Brussels and has danced at noumerous theatres and international festivals (Bilbao, Paris, Lyon, Bregenz, Sao Paolo, Istanbul, Beiruth, Ginevra....) She was choreographer for Swarovski Kristallwelten, Klagenfurt Museum, Chiostro Tolentini Venice, Carinthian Summer Festival, neuebuehnevillach, became a member of SiWiC Zürich and was principal dancer in the canadian dancefilm “Lapinthrope”. In 2008 she created “Blanche” in Basel (with Zoltán Dani), “Der Turm” for Musikwochen Millstatt Festival and the choreography for Peter Wagner's dance theatre project “und jetzt”. Recent works are „Prezih's Dream“ ( Bernd Liepold-Mosser , Slovenia / Austria ), “aufgestrichen&getanzt”, “Being Else” (by “das gut”, Vienna ), “Die Schwimmerin” (poem by Josef Winkler) at Salzkammergut Festival and the opening of the CCB - Center for Choreography Bleiburg/Pliberk. In 2013 Anna started  "the Pulcinella project" combining commedia dell'arte and contemporary dance.
